What we Discover and Have to Learn in the Spirit World

My personal experience, when God asked me to open my spiritual senses for 100 days, coresponds to many of the experiences described in this book. For example, I could feel all the sounds around me as a music. I could see even bad TV signal in a perfect 3D cristal cler image, with sound so overwelming that each emotion is transmited directly to your whole existence. Going to sweem in the sea I felt the same reviving effect he described.

"I discovered that the water felt more like a warm cloak thrown round me than the penetration of liquid. The magnetic effect of the water was of like nature to the brook into which I had thrust my hand, but here the revivifying force enveloped the whole body, pouring new life into it." 

"It is not easy to convey any idea of this fundamentally spiritual experience. That the water was living one could have no doubt. It breathed its very goodness by its contact, and extended its heavenly influence individually to all who came within it. For myself, I experienced a spiritual exaltation, as well as a vital regeneration, to such an extent..."

During these hundred days I also felt the incredible interaction with the flowers and all the nature.

"By placing the hands.. round the flower so as to hold it.. I should feel the magnetism running up my arms.. I did as I was instructed, and I instantly felt a stream of life rushing up my arms, the while a most delicate aroma was exhaled by the flower."

The autore shares they were, "So surprised and altogether delighted.. with this fresh manifestation of the power of thought" they had, once freed from the physical limitations. No wonder we often have similare experiences even in the physical world, having our spirit sensibility (intuition) even partially open.

"we should also be able to send our thoughts by themselves, unhindered by all ideas of distance. When we focus our thoughts upon some person in the spirit world, whether they be in the form of a definite message, or whether they are solely of an affectionate nature, those thoughts will reach their destination without fail, and they will be taken up by the percipient." 

In these 100 days I realized how important it is to have control over my own thinking, observing what thoughts are creating and how ignorant I was about that till this moment. Similarly the author explains,

"if we should just let our thoughts ramble along under a loose control, then they can be seen and read by others. One of the first things to be done upon arrival here is to realize that thought is concrete, that it can create and build, and then our next effort is to place our own thoughts under proper and adequate control. But like so much else in the spirit world, we can soon learn to adjust ourselves to the new conditions.."

Numerous Spiritual Realms

"Certainly there was a boundary to this realm... Beyond this were other and still more realms. Each soul as it passed into spirit passed into that realm for which it had fitted itself when upon the earth—into that realm and no other."

In my 100 days training, I also had to pass through numerous spiritual levels. At each of them I had to learn to deal with the problems, but also help the inhabitants of these realms to grow.

"We should find that there were others infinitely better—and others infinitely worse.. other realms immeasurably more beautiful than that in which we were now happily living; realms of surpassing beauty into which we cannot penetrate until such time as we have earned the right to enter, either as visitors or as inhabitants. But though we may not pass into them, the glorious souls who dwell in them can come into realms of less celestial rarity, and can visit us here."

First Steps in Spirit World

I had this distinct prompting to rise, I found that I was actually doing so. I then discovered that those around my bed did not seem to perceive what I was doing... I saw my physical body lying lifeless upon its bed, but here was I, the real I. alive and well. For a minute or two I remained gazing...

I could still see the room quite clearly around me, but there was a certain mistiness about it as though it were filled with smoke very evenly distributed.

I looked down at myself wondering what I was wearing... I was extremely surprised to find that I had on my usual attire, such as I wore when moving freely and in good health about my own house. My surprise was only momentary since, I thought to myself, what other clothes should I expect to be wearing? Surely not some sort of diaphanous robe.



Such knowledge of the spirit world as I had been able to glean from my own experiences instantly came to my aid. I knew at once of the alteration that had taken place in my condition; I knew, in other words, that I had ‘died’. I knew, too, that I was alive, that I had shaken off my last illness sufficiently to be able to stand upright and look about me.

Here I was, in full possession of all my faculties, and, indeed, feeling ‘physically’ as I had never felt before... As soon as I had had this brief space in which to look about me and to appreciate my new estate, I found myself joined by a former colleague—a priest—who had passed to this life some years before. We greeted each other warmly, and I noticed that he was attired like myself. Again this in no way seemed strange to me, because had be been dressed in any other way I should have felt that something was wrong somewhere, as I had only known him in clerical attire.

He expressed his great pleasure at seeing me again, and for my part I foresaw the gathering up of the many threads that had been broken by his ‘death’. For the first moment or so I allowed him to do all the talking; I had yet to accustom myself to the newness of things. For you must remember that I had just relinquished a bed of final sickness, and that in casting off the physical body I had also cast off the sickness with it, and the new sensation of comfort and freedom from bodily ills was one so glorious that the realization of it took a little while to comprehend fully.

I could not resist the impulse to turn and take a last look at the room of my transition. It still presented its misty appearance Those who were formerly standing round the bed had now with drawn, and I was able to approach the bed and gaze at ‘myself I was not the least impressed by what I saw, but the last remnant of my physical self seemed to be placid enough. My friend then suggested that we should now go, and we accordingly moved away.

As we departed, the room gradually became more misty until it faded farther from my vision, and finally disappeared. So far, I had had the use, as usual, of my legs as in ordinary walking, but in view of my last illness and the fact that, consequent, upon it, I should need some period of rest before I exerted myself too much, my friend said that it would be better if we did not use the customary means of locomotion—our legs. He then told me to take hold of his arm firmly, and to have no fear whatever. I could, if I wished, close my eyes. It would, he said, perhaps be better it I did so. I took his arm, and left the rest to him as he told me to do. I at once experienced a sensation of floating such as one has in physical dreams, though this was very real and quite unattended by any doubts of personal security. The motion seemed to become more rapid as time went on, and I still kept my eyes firmly closed. It is strange with what determination one can do such things here.

After a short while our progress.. I could feel that there was something very solid under my feet. I was told to open my eyes. I did so. What I saw was my old home that I had lived in on the earth-plane; my old home—but with a difference. It was improved in a way that I had not been able to do to its earthly counterpart. The house itself was rejuvenated, as it seemed to me from a first glance, rather than restored, but it was the gardens round it that attracted my attention more fully... they were beautifully kept and tended. There were no wild growths or masses of tangled foliage and weeds, but the most glorious profusion of beautiful flowers so arranged as to show themselves to absolute perfection. Of the flowers themselves, when I was able to examine them more closely, I must say that I never saw either their like or their counterpart, upon the earth... their unbelievable range of superb colourings that caught my attention, but the vital atmosphere of eternal life that they threw out... there seemed to pour out great streams of energizing power which uplifted the soul spiritually and gave it strength, while the heavenly perfumes they exhaled were such as no soul clothed in its mantle of flesh has ever experienced. All these flowers were living and breathing, and they were, so my friend informed me, incorruptible.

There was another astonishing feature I noticed when I drew near to them, and that was the sound of music that enveloped them, making such soft harmonies... everywhere there was perfect harmony. There were many splendid trees to be seen, none of which was malformed, such as one is accustomed to see on earth.

It seemed to be that there was a radiance of light that penetrated into every corner, and yet there was no hint of flatness. My friend told me that all light proceeded directly from the Giver of all light, and that this light was Divine life itself, and that it bathed and illumined the whole of the spirit world where lived those who had eyes spiritually to see.

I was struck by the fact that there were no signs of walls or hedges or fences... I was told that such things boundaries were not needed... I was wholeheartedly welcome to go wherever I wished without fear of intruding upon another’s privacy. I was told I should find that that was the rule here, and that I would have no different feelings with respect to others walking in my own garden.

Both the house and the garden, he told me, were the harvest I had reaped for myself during my earth life. Having earned the right to possess them, I had built them with the aid of generous souls who spend their life in the spirit world performing such deeds of kindness and service to others. Not only was it their work, but it was their pleasure at the same time. Frequently this work is undertaken and carried out by those who, on earth, were expert in such things, and who also had a love for it. Here they can continue with their occupation under conditions that only the world of spirit can supply. Such tasks bring their own spiritual rewards, although the thought of reward is never in the minds of those who perform them. The desire of being of service to others is always uppermost.

What are the consequences of sin?

"Being a fallen person means being the result of 6000 years of fallen human history—a mixture of good and evil. People inherit good and evil character from their ancestors, but living in the world where there is more evil than good, evil is continuously repeated. When we say that there are many evil spirits in the bodies of people on the earth, it is the result of personal sins and ancestral sins passed down through the lineage." Spiritual Message

If you want to ascend to Heaven

"If you want to ascend to Heaven, first you have to go through a door between the Middle Level of the spiritual world and Paradise. As you enter you see fog, such as you see when you climb a mountain just before you reach the summit; looking down you see the fog beneath you, and as you descend the fog again gets thicker and thicker. But as you continue upward and approach the Kingdom of Heaven it gets brighter.

In the Kingdom of Heaven you will see green grass everywhere. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming in profusion, and animals are playing happily together. The air is fresh and filled with fragrances like lilac. Bright light shines throughout, more beautiful than diamond and clear as crystal. As you stand there you feel so comfortable and refreshed. A feeling of love and happiness fills you. Unlike in earthy life, in the Kingdom of Heaven these happy feelings are continual.

In the Kingdom of Heaven there is no anxiety or suffering. All the spirits have bright and peaceful expressions; they don’t need to talk as they automatically care for each other. There is no fighting, no jealousy, no hate or arrogance, and no fallen nature. Everyone is filled only with True Love.

However, only people who were Blessed through the True Parents can enter this place. Even people on earth who led a good life cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless they have been Blessed.
You cannot go to this place by living in a haphazard way. In order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven you have to live a clean and beautiful life, crystal clear with no blemishes. In order to live here you must have a smile on your face and a light that shines like jewels. Blessed Couples should examine themselves every hour of their life to check whether they are truly becoming citizens of Kingdom of Heaven, by leading an earthly life of which they will not be ashamed in any way." Message from the Spirit World

Other Regions of the Spirit World

"As you descend from the Kingdom of Heaven, you will encounter many different regions of the spiritual world. Many people on earth think that there are only two different places: Heaven and hell. But in reality there are many regions, from very evil places to very good places. Although there are many different levels, any level other than the Kingdom of Heaven is not at all comfortable because the people fight each other, insisting that they alone are correct about their opinions. Each region is filled with people who are of the same type, so it is not interesting to remain there.

For example, in the region where people who were accustomed to stealing things on earth dwell, they are ever thinking that other people will steal things from them. Amid such distrust of others fighting goes on continually.

When they come here most of the sprits are placed in various regions of hell and the middle realms. Where they are placed is decided by how they lived their lives on the earth. Therefore, if you don’t want to suffer in hell you must not live an unprincipled life, but go the way of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. God is only goodness and love. Unless we make effort to resemble God, we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you descend further into the lower regions, you come to regions of hell where you cannot breathe. It is dark and scary, and it has a terrible smell, worse than the smell of rotten meat or fish. Deformed figures appear in front of you, biting each other, yelling and screaming at each other. Some regions are filled with burning holes, and in them are people who are forever angry at each other. The worst regions are reserved for those who were sexually corrupt or who committed suicide. It is difficult to look at the many ugly figures there slithering all about like snakes. People living on the earth don’t recognize how frightening it is in these areas. If you could see it, you would not be able to remain there even for a minute. Fortunately, all Blessed Couples have had their Original Sin forgiven and have the chance to cleanse their ancestors’ sins, collective sins, personal sins and fallen nature. Yet Blessed Couples don’t recognize how precious and valuable is the grace that they possess.

As the Divine Principle teaches us, no one forces people to go to a particular region of the spiritual world, but people find their own place by their own will according to the spiritual level they attained on the earth. If only we could make people understand this, they would know how to live in the future." Message from the Spirit World

The More Sins, Darker the Place

"The Kingdom of Heaven is extremely bright and white, clean like flawless white jade. But as we descend the colors become darker and darker and dirtier. Descending from the Kingdom of Heaven the color turns beige, then darker shades of purple. Descending to still lower regions the color becomes light brown, then gray, dark gray, black and pitch black. The more sins committed, the darker the color. Also, spirits who committed many sins with a certain part of their body show dirtier and darker colors on that part. After receiving the Blessing, people can get rid of their fallen nature and live in the Kingdom of Heaven. The more True Love, the closer they can get to the Kingdom of Heaven. But the more fallen nature the darker their spirit self becomes, and they go to a dark place.

It is so important after we receive the Blessing to remove evil, resentful spirits and to remove our fallen nature, because this will decide our environment after we go to the spiritual world. People may enjoy their wealth, power and good position, but the situation in the spiritual world is so different. The more money a person had on earth or the higher the position that they misused, the greater their troubles are in the spiritual world.

In the Divine Principle it reads, “Sin is a violation of heavenly law which is committed when a person forms a common base with Satan, thus setting a condition for give-and-take action with him.” Most people think of sin only as personal sin, but there is Original Sin, ancestral sin, collective sin as well as personal sin. We are burdened with sins inherited from our ancestors even though we personally did not commit them, and we are also responsible for collective sins that were committed collectively."

Diseases Have Spiritual Causes

"All modern diseases have spiritual causes that are connected to the sins of ancestors. By looking at the sicknesses and difficulties of descendants, we can infer about the life of their ancestors. If the ancestors had stolen things from the others or misused public things or money, their descendants often suffer from stomach problems. If they had many sexual transgressions, their descendants may suffer from diseases of the sex organs, or be unable to bear children, have problems being faithful, or get divorced after marriage. Ancestors who did not see things about others correctly and hurt them will cause their descendants to have children who are born blind, mute or deaf. In other words, according to the way pain was given, the descendants suffer with the same kind of troubles. The heavier the ancestors’ sins, the more difficult it is to heal the resulting sickness; it may not even be curable."

If people on the earth do not clear up these sins through paying the required indemnity, the suffering is passed down to their children. Later, when those people come to the spiritual world and watch their children suffer they regret that they did not clear things up for them. They lament, “If only I had borne my suffering on earth, my children would not need to suffer now."

Countless Of Evil Spirits Infest Our Bodies

"Therefore, unless people clear up all the sins passed down from their ancestors, as well as the personal sins they committed themselves, they cannot escape from sickness and pain. The sins are so great and so many that they cause countless evil spirits to infest the bodies of people on the earth.

There are multitudes of them, each the size of an ant’s egg. In reality spirits can control their size freely. These evil spirits make themselves tiny in order to infest people’s bodies in large numbers.
When you look at a spirit it may appear as it was as a human being, or as it was at the time of death. Sometimes a spirit appears as an animal or as an insect according to how he or she lived on the earth. A person who had a hot temper might have the appearance of a tiger. A person who delighted in tricking others might look like fox, and a person who was sexually promiscuous might look like a snake.”

The Kingdom of Heaven Opened After 2012

"My training center is located right next to the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is not yet open, as it will be opened only after True Parents arrive here. All of us will enter on that day. I am glad that we have this training center, because we need it in order to restore all people in the spirit world. I can never thank you enough for providing it. Now we are able to create Absolute Good Spirits. This means we have now created a realm where Satan cannot invade. As the number of Absolute Good Spirits increases, the territory of God and True Parents increases. Satan’s evil work is diminished, and the hope of establishing the Kingdom of Heaven opens up on the earth.

Some may question whether it would be easier if we would restore all the evil spirits on the earth at once. But that is not the Principle way. God cannot intervene in the choices of fallen human beings, who fell into the midway position. God cannot intervene with His power, and Satan cannot intervene either. Each person alone decides whose side he or she is on by the conditions he or she makes and who is in the rightful position to intervene.

Only when a person makes a condition for God, can God intervene in that person’s life. Therefore, in order to remove evil spirits we need to make indemnity conditions by understanding our sins and the sins of our ancestors. Otherwise the separation or liberation of evil spirits is very difficult. The same principle applies in Blessing our ancestors. We need to make conditions so that our ancestors can be liberated and sent to the training center in the spiritual world, where they become the Absolute Good Spirits who will be the foundation for God to come down on earth.

As of this time, True Parents have achieved the cosmic level of victory. They have liberated the spiritual world and have broken down the boundaries between religions in the spiritual world... On this basis, evil spirits are being restored to become Absolute Good Spirits... This work would be impossible unless the Messiah, the eternal True Parent, does it." Message from the Spirit World

Lorna Byrne sees angels and spirits from a small age. When asked about reincarnation she explained that she don't see such thing. Instead she often sees around a small child a soul standing and constantly talking to it. People can naturally conclude that what this spirit says to the child must be some knowledge from the child's previous life. But it's not! This is simply a spiritual communication.

Kymberly Goguen, explains that the Reincarnation is Satanic recycling program. Fallen Angels use it to keep spirit people who are under their control to stay stuck in the physical world and thus not only re-use them, but prevent the possibility for the actual spirit of the body they obsess to be able to develop. 

Many times such spirits stuck in the body asked me to help them. But since they lived in this body for too long, they were so much identified with vibrations of the individual they host, so it took much efforts to help them get out. Why stay suck in a foreign body, pretending that's their reincarnation, when they can go and enjoy with their beloved ones in the vast spirit world?

Once you see the spirit world and how beautiful it is there, you'll realize that its not normal to live again and again in the physical world. That's why spirits that come and use the physical body of others are low level spirits than need to grow. Once a person's spirit matures he will enjoy the vast Spiritual World and only occasionally help on the earth. Actually it is vary boring and meaningless for a developed spirit to be stuck in a physical body.

The evil spirits stuck in the bodies of the earthly people love this godless concept of 'Reincarnation'. But reincarnation automatically destroys parent-child relationship. Even family is no longer something precious and eternal, but an illusion that they want to disconnect from in order to grow. So they reverse everything upside-down. Eternal, unchanging love is the core of God's ideal and creation, but this theory destroys any chance to understand God's heart and fulfill our original purpose.

Spiritual growth is to learn to love and live for others. Once you fulfill your purpose here - to learn love, create family, develop parental heart (living for the sake of others) the life in the spirit world will be amazing. But for those who didn't develop their heart (lived selfishly), life there is impossible and painful. Their spiritual senses are not developed, so they live in darkness. Worse of all, most of them stay in the physical world attaching themselves to earthly people (thinking it's their reincarnation, while in fact they are becoming stuck on earth evil spirits).

What about those who experienced their past life? They've experienced another spirit's experiences from the past.. but that's not their own past. When we communicate spiritually, we feel the way the other person felt and experienced things, as if we are him. That's normal spiritual communication. He may be your ancestor, related to your lineage and subconscious memory. Or could be just another spirit with a common base that you have attracted. But you are different individuals. 

If I look spiritually even at the embryo in it's mother's womb, I can see numerous spirits that are trying to attach to that baby. In fact, you can find millions of spirits stuck in our bodies. Some more dominant such spirits will have more influence on your thoughts and actions. For them, you are their reincarnation, because they hacked you to use your body. But for you, these are low, evil, obsessive spirits that are only dragging you down towards their hell. Read, RESURRECTION (THE DIVINE PRINCIPLE)

Returning Resurrection through Cooperation

Most spirits need to return, cooperate with earthly people in order to grow. But this is only Resurrection through Cooperation with an earthly person. Ask his name? Ask if he is relative or another spirit?

"Spirits who could not complete their missions during their earthly life must return to people on earth who share the same type of mission as they had during their lifetime. When a spirit assists an earthly person to fulfill God's Will, the person will fulfill not only his own mission, but also the mission of the spirit who has helped him. Hence, from the standpoint of mission, the physical self of the person concurrently serves as the physical self of the spirit. In a sense, he is the second coming of the spirit; hence he may sometimes be called by the spirit's name and appear to be the reincarnation of that spirit."  DP RESURRECTION

Temporal cooperation of spirits with an earthly person can be helpful both ways. Either the earthly person to help the spirit overcome something, or the other way around - the spirt to help us overcome or develop some skills. Only if this is an evil spirit, he may want to mislead you believe you are his reincarnation to allow him to use your body. But that would be stuck spirit. Spirit with not developed spiritual senses - thus unable to go and enjoy the spirit world.

Reincarnation Stories Explained

The concept of reincarnation — the idea that old souls are reborn into new bodies — has existed for thousands of years. It’s part of the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Some insist that it’s real and that stories like the following are proof of its existence, while in fact there is a vary simple explanation. These nine stories are certainly creepy enough… but does that mean reincarnation really exists? What is the real explanation? As Lorna explained, "A young child might speak of something and then the parents turn and say, 'Oh, that has to be from the past life, how can the child describe that in such detail.' "

Murdered boy reincarnated

There is a story in which her 3-yearold son said that he liked his “new daddy.” He explained, “My old daddy was really mean. He stabbed me in the back and I died. But I really like my new daddy, he’d never do that to me.”

This is a case where a boy died too young. Since spiritual growth happens only in the body, this spirit needed to cooperate with another earthly boy and grow in cooperation with him. In such cases the spirit of the boy in the spirit world is a bit stronger, so for a short period he may overtake over the body. But because the spirit of the physical boy will grow faster, soon that effect will disappear. Otherwise the earthly boy will stay possessed by the spirit and thus unable to grow himself spiritually. No one will benefit from that. 

Boy is his own grandpa

18-month-old Gus Taylor’s grandfather, Augie, had died a year before Gus was born. The year-and-a-half-old Gus claimed that he was his own grandfather. When he was four, he was able to identify Augie in family photographs, even though he had never seen the man in real life. Gus even started talking about his dead sister.

Here you see how the grandfather's spirit is quick to enter the body of his own grandchild. Since they are relatives, there is enough common base. But the fact that he stayed stuck on earth shows clearly that the grandfather's spirit was not developed to see and enjoy the spirit world. In this case his spirit is way stronger then the boy's, so this is dangerous obsession. The grandfather needs prayers to get liberated from the physical body and allow the grandson to grow. 

Past life as a fighter pilot

8-year-old James started having nightmares about being shot down by a plane with a red sun on it — a Japanese plane. He talked about having dreams and memories of being Lieutenant James McCready Huston, a World War II fighter pilot from Pennsylvania who had been killed in Iwo Jima more than 50 years earlier.

This is a clear case of how spiritual communications work. Each time I call a spirit and talk to them, I see and experience their experiences as if I was them. So I can call anyone; the communications are the same. I can communicate the same way even with living people, if their spirit is vary developed. That's cooperation of a spirit with an earthly man. But people in the past did not know much about the spirit world and spiritual communications, so they concluded this is their past life and created the partial theory of reincarnation. 

There is even a story where a mom reincarnates in her own daughter: “as soon as my sister was old enough to say the words, she said, ‘I am your mother.’”

In a TV documentary about Reincarnation, the woman experienced the death of the previous owner of the house. She thought is reincarnation, but you see that actually the spirit of the previous owner is stuck in this physical place where he died. In the same documentary they showed that many naighbours also experience the same thing with that spirit. The spirit can communicate with any person on earth who crates common base. This is not reincarnation.

To make things even more clear, just notice that in most of these stories the physical person re-experiences how these spirits died, were killed. That's because stuck spirits have some unresolved pain. Often they don't even understand that they have died and are already in the spirit world. They hand around and influence earthly people, or they get stuck in the energy field of a certain person.

Truth is there millions of spirits stuck in the bodies of each earthly person. Most of these spirits are our own ancestors or spirits who have resentment against them. They are the actual cause of most of our sicknesses or incidents. Pray to send them to the spirit world. You don't want such stuck spirits sucking your energy and pretending they are you. 

3-year-old recognizes the man who killed him in his past life.

A 3-year-old boy in the Golan Heights caused quite a stir when he claimed he was murdered in a past life. “Suddenly the boy walked up to a man and said, “Aren’t you … (Eli [Lasch] forgot the name)?” The man answered yes. Then the boy said, “I used to be your neighbour. We had a fight and you killed me with an axe.” Eli told me how the man had suddenly gone white as a sheet. In this case the spirit used the boy to report who killed him. He could do the same thing through a spiritualist.

The Theory of Reincarnation in Light of the Returning Resurrection

"In seeking to fulfill the whole purpose of the providence of restoration, God has called upon many individuals and has apportioned to each a suitable mission. These individuals have passed down their particular missions to other individuals of similar character and circumstances, gradually fulfilling each area of mission over the long flow of history.

The providence of restoration begins with an individual, expands to the family, nation and world, and ultimately will bring restoration to all of heaven and earth. Although the mission given to each individual may be only a part of the greater whole, it also unfolds according to this pattern. Each mission begins at the individual level and expands its scope to the family, nation and world level. To take an example from the Bible, the mission begun with Abraham at the individual and family levels was passed down to Moses at the national level and to Jesus at the worldwide level.

Spirits who could not complete their missions during their earthly life must return to people on earth who share the same type of mission as they had during their lifetime. When a spirit assists an earthly person to fulfill God's Will, the person will fulfill not only his own mission, but also the mission of the spirit who has helped him. Hence, from the standpoint of mission, the physical self of the person concurrently serves as the physical self of the spirit. In a sense, he is the second coming of the spirit; hence he may sometimes be called by the spirit's name and appear to be the reincarnation of that spirit. In the Bible, John the Baptist was to have fulfilled the mission which Elijah left unfinished during his earthly life, since he received Elijah's assistance in carrying out his activities. Jesus called John "Elijah" because John's physical self concurrently served as the body of Elijah.[30]

In the Last Days, certain people on earth are entrusted with missions on the worldwide level. They must inherit and complete the responsibilities of all the spirits of the past who were devoted to the same field. These spirits will descend to these people and assist them in order to complete the spirits' own unfinished work. Since the earthly people are, in a sense, the second coming of these guiding spirits, they may think that they are their reincarnation. Hence, in the Last Days there are people claiming to be the second coming of Jesus, the Maitreya Buddha, Confucius, the Olive Tree, or the Tree of Life.
